Melody Imitation

In a "Melody imitation" exercise, the student is expected to listen to a reference melody and reproduce/imitate that melody either via singing or playing on an instrument. Melody imitation exercises find large use in traditional music education. Here we present an example with North Indian Classical Music. Evaluation returns the level of match between the teachers performance and student performance.
